Cefpodoxime Proxetil Dry Syrup

Sultapod-DS Dry Syp consists of Cefpodoxime Proxetil which is known as a cephalosporin antibiotic and it does not work for viral infection. This syrup works by killing bacteria or preventing their growth. It is active against most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, however, this medicine will not work for colds, flu, or other virus infections.

Uses of Cefpodoxime Proxetil Dry Syrup

This medication is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections, such as-

• Acute otitis media
• Pharyngitis
• Sinusitis

Side Effects

If you have any of the following symptoms, do not use anti-diarrhea products because they may make symptoms worse.

• Itching 
• Dizziness 
• Trouble breathing 
• Swelling of face or tongue.

Directions For Use

Take this medication by mouth, usually every 12 hours or as directed by your doctor.  In children, the dose is also based on weight.
