The stomach is usually protected from acid by a mucous layer. Domperidone + Esomeprazole Capsulesare a combination of two drugs: Esomeprazole (proton pump inhibitor) and Domperidone (a dopamine antagonist).

Esomeprazole works by blocking an enzyme known as the gastric proton pump, which is responsible for the production of acid Domperidone works by rising the movements and contractions of stomach muscle. In some cases, due to over acid production, the mucous layer gets eroded, which leads to complications like GERD, peptic ulcers, acidity, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
