CLINDAMYCIN +CLOTRIMAZOLE Tablets under the branding GEN-V. It is a combination of two drugs Clindamycin and Clotrimazole. The medication refers to the class of drugs called “topical antibiotics” that are used to treat vaginal infections due to yeast infections, bacteria, and parasitic infections. Clindamycin +Clotrimazole tablet belongs to an antibiotic hub that works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, necessary for the survival of the bacteria. As a result, it inhibits bacterial growth but does not kill them (bacteriostatic effect).

Aside from this, Clotrimazole belongs to imidazole’s antifungal group that kills fungi by causing holes in their cell membrane, thereby leaking all content out. Bacterial vaginosis is caused by the change in the normal balance of vaginal bacteria. Vaginal yeast infection or Candidiasis is the infection of the vagina and tissues at the opening of the vagina (vulva). Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted infection caused by a parasite.
